The Aputure Light Storm LS 600d – V-mount is a modern high-powered lamp with a wide range of capabilities. The unit offers a constant light colour temperature of 5600 K. Convenient control is provided by an ergonomic controller with OLED screen. The lamp is also compatible with the free Sidus Link app and DMX systems. You can power it with V-mount batteries, local mains or a power generator. Thanks to the Bowens standard mount, you will connect popular modifiers such as canopies, softboxes or lenses to it. The brightness control is accurate to 1% and the light has a high quality and natural daylight colour. Together with the flash you will also receive a professional transport case.

Bright and natural light

If you want a lamp that can accurately reproduce the natural colours of daylight, the Light Storm LS 600d will be an excellent choice. The high lighting quality index values (CRI 96+, TLCI 98+, CQS 95+, D56 73) confirm the class of Aputure products. The light source in the presented model is a modern 600 W COB LED known from the top model LS 600d Pro. Thanks to it, you will get consistently perfect white light with a colour temperature of 5600 K.

New, lighter controller

The LS 600d Control Box you will find in the kit is a much more practical, smaller and lighter version of the controller known from the more advanced LS 600d Pro model. Weighing just 3.24 kg, the controller features a bright OLED display for convenient light control. You can securely install the box in a convenient location on a tripod using the included Lightning Clamp mounting bracket.

Optimal light intensity

The Aputure Light Storm LS 600d LED lamp gives you full control over the brightness level. Using the ergonomic dial, you can reduce or increase its output in the blink of an eye. Adjustments are made here in 1% increments. This means that you have up to 100 different brightness levels at your disposal. With the Light Storm LS 600d you will always adjust the light to the current needs of your frames!

Multiple power ways

The Light Storm LS 600d can compete with professional HMI lights, not only because of its high power output, but also its versatility in terms of power methods. You can, of course, connect the unit to your local mains, but that’s not all. Two V-Mount battery sockets will provide convenient mounting of the cells directly on the Control Box. These will allow you to achieve an output of up to 360 watts, half of what the Aputure Light Storm LS 600d can offer. You can also use a compatible power station. You will connect it to the 3-pin XLR socket (48 V) and then you can use the full power of the device!

4 adjustment curves

Every film set is different. You don’t always know what conditions you need to prepare for. With the Light Storm LS 600d, far fewer variables can surprise you! To ensure comfortable working for everyone, whatever the conditions, the lamp features an easy-to-read display and 4 different lighting power control curves:

• linear,

• exponential,

• logarithmic,

• S-curve,

These will allow you to adapt the lamp behaviour to your individual working style and current requirements.

Exceptional special effects

Users of lights from Aputure have come to love the unique pre-defined modes that allow them to create amazing Hollywood-like special effects with light in seconds. Spectacular combinations of flashes, highlights or dims allow you to use such simulations as Paparazzi, Fireworks, Faulty bulb, Lightning, TV, Pulsing Strobe and Explosion.

Sidus Link app

As befits a light from the Aputure brand, the LS 600d could not lack integration with the proprietary Sidus Mesh ecosystem, which allows light control via the Sidus Link app. It can be downloaded for free on Google Play, the App Store, the Mi App Store and the Huawei App Gallery. The app will allow you to control both a single light source and your entire lighting equipment setup from Aputure.

If you want to control the Aputure LS 600d light without having to go near a controller, you can use the Sidus Link mobile app for smartphones and tablets or choose one of two alternatives. The device is compatible with the VA-RC1+ radio remote control, which provides up to 100 metres of range. The manufacturer has also provided a DMX512 input and output. These will provide wireless transmission in the DMX standard, which will allow you to control the device from special applications or full-size consoles.

The VA-RC1+ remote control is NOT PART OF THE KIT and MUST be purchased separately.

Effective cooling system

The impressive power of the lamp means that the device generates a lot of heat. However, the manufacturer has taken care of an effective cooling system that will ensure continuous and stable operation, thus eliminating the risk of overheating. An ultra-quiet fan will ensure adequate airflow, while not exceeding 31 dB (at a distance of 1 m from the lamp). The cooling system can operate in 4 modes:

• Intelligent – the fan speed adjusts itself according to the ambient temperature

• Intensive – suitable for operation between 35°C and 45°C

• Medium – suitable for ambient temperatures below 35°C

• Quiet – the fan is completely switched off and the output power is limited to 60 W

Standard Bowens

The Aputure LS 600d light features a mount for the popular Bowens system, allowing you to tailor the character of the light to suit any scene. Soft, gentle lighting? Sharp or spot light? The Bowens standard gives you access to hundreds of modifiers on the market to get the effect you want. You can use professional modifiers from Aputure (e.g. Light Dome, Fresnel or Lantern) or reach for products from other reputable brands.

Professional transport case

Included with your lamp you will also find an ergonomic transport case equipped with wheels. It will accommodate the device and all additional accessories. The wheels will make it easy to transport the Aputure Light Storm LS 600d – V-mount LED lamp from one set to another!
