Yongnuo YN968EX-RT is an innovative reporter lamp, combining the advantages of flashing light and continuous. The lamp has a built-in receiver enabling radio communication with the camera in the Canon RT system.

The characteristic feature of YN986EX-RT is the head, equipped with two light sources: a flash burner and a panel with LED diodes. The lamp generates a flash with the guide number GN 60 (ISO 100, 105mm). High power combined with short charging times guarantees readiness to act at any time. In the case of unfavorable lighting conditions, the LED panel helps to set the focus and to correctly frame the scene.

The lamp head offers an extremely wide range of motion, which makes it easy to quickly position the burner in the desired direction. Automatic (and manual) zoom of the lamp, diffusers (on both light sources) and reflector allow for creative lighting selection for the selected scene.

The Yongnuo lamp has been equipped with a sync mode with HSS (up to 1/8000 s) shutter speed and the TTL flash output automation system, extremely useful in variable lighting conditions.

A clear LCD display with backlight and intuitive and feature-rich menus ensure comfort of use. Large, comfortable buttons allow you to operate the lamp even when wearing gloves. It is possible to enable and disable sound signals that inform you of charge and readiness for re-flashing. 
The built-in receiver of the Canon RT system enables radio communication with YN600EX-RT, Canon 600EX-RT lamps and YN-E3-RT and Canon ST-E3-RT triggers. The lamp can be used both as a control unit for the operation of other lamps mentioned above, as well as a receiver in the "slave" mode. The RT wireless communication system enables control of five groups of lamps in 15 channels, support for TTL flash automation, manual mode and strobe mode.

YN986EX-RT can also be used in the optical flash trigger system. In the "slave" mode, the lamp can receive optical signals from Yongnuo YN568EX II, Canon 580EX II, Nikon SB-700, SB-800, SB-900, SB-910 and built-in Canon camera lights (600D, 60D, 7D). In this mode the lamp can be set in manual mode and TTL mode.

The lamp can also be triggered by a flash in manual mode S1 and S2. This allows basic wireless communication with almost all flash units available on the market.

The device can also be controlled wirelessly using external radio triggers, such as Yongnuo YN622 or RF603 and through the PC port.

Yongnuo YN968EX-RT is powered by four AA batteries. The lamp has a socket to connect an additional power supply and a mini USB port to update the software. The lamp foot has been protected against adverse weather conditions by a rubber gasket.

The set includes a practical cover, a CTO filter for the LED panel and a stand with a 1/4 "female stand mount.
